Village Green Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

I'm in the process of looking for a new apartment while living here...and I'm writing a review because I'm sick of reading reviews at so many apartments in the area and just not knowing what to belive. You're reading these going "well I could either get brutalized in the parking lot or be living in a palace- who knows!" SO... This place is nice, inside and out. I feel very safe, and I live at the farthest end of the complex-its all well lighted. The floorplans are really great. Management is some of the best I've had- they're nice and are generally on top of things, though you probably won't have many problems (at least we didn't have any outside of getting a few things taken care of at move-in). Oh and the washer and dryer works well in my apt. I've had issues with that in other places, so here its actually a useful ammenity. Everything is modern and the bathrooms have a lot of space. There's also a good amount of storage in the units, too. Closets where you'd want them, like by the bathroom and entryway. The kitchen is very large and open, though I wish the pantry was bigger. And they're ok with letting you put holes in the walls, even larger ones for heavier frames- I know thats not a huge thing, but it does make things a little homier. Parking is fine, but you make have to walk like 15 extra feet if you get home later in the day- not too often, though. And there's like a half mile walking trail around one of the ponds in addition to several fitness ammenities. The dining nook in our unit isn't a glorified cubby hole, either. can't speak for other units, but ours is one of the smaller ones so I have to guess others are just as good. Ok so that's the good stuff. I'd say the bad things are that while there are puppy waste stations all over the facility, people really don't clean up after their dogs. Which sucks, but i think that kinda happens at a pet friendly place. and at least they do have the waste stations. Its also a little too expensive for us now that our one year price special will be expiring. Its really hard to find something affordable in this area and not worry about all the negative reviews (again, the reason why I'm reviewing this place). I mean, if you have the money, this place is great, but we can't do the regular rates. Tenants by us seem to be nice but keep to themselves. I've never heard our neighbors, though I can hear people coming down the stairs since our place is right at the base of them. I get easily annoywed with that sort of thing and it really doesn't bother me. The only problems I've ever had is that some of the younger tenants (I'm the same age, but still) aren't super respectful in common areas, like the clubhouse and will curse around kids and drink at the pool which I mean you aren't supposed to do, but other people will and can keep it under control. but that's the worst of it from my experience. Overall, check the place out because it deserves better than a >50% rating.

I concur the place is VERY nice, although there was a tool with a toyota celica with obscenities scratched in it who double parked in front of our apt every day and almost got hit by some jerk in a pontiac GTO, but other than that neighbors are cool. I didn't live near the pool though and it appears neither did you. Thats where all the bad reviews seem to be coming from. Dog crap is everyhwere and there was someone who left their dog out on the porch during the day to howl. Sucks when you work 2nd shift and are trying to sleep. The apartaments themselves are REALLY nice. If I could have bought there as a condo I would. But they raised the price like 150 a month and that put it in starter condo range, so we bought a house instead. No problems with mov out either. Staff was always freindly too!
