Our family has lived here for one year now and we are incredibly disappointed. The few pluses are: nice little mosquito infested lakes, walking path around them, small kids playground on the grounds and two tennis courts. That's about it. The grounds and equipment are falling apart (broken hot tub, non-heated pools, garbage everwhere, cold-blooded management personnel, dead fish floating in the ponds, etc.) and are mostly dirty and FAR over-priced. The noise level here is ridiculous. Pool parties on a weeknight until 1:35 in the morning (no joke!). Kids throw home-made explosives in the lakes to see how many fish they kill (also, no joke). Workers come over to fix leaking faucets, falling pink fiberglass insulation, doors that don't close, etc. but the problems seem to return within a few days. We feel that we made a heck of big mistake in coming here to live. We regret it. Hopefully you can learn from our mistake -- stay as far away as you possibly can. Good luck to you. Best regards, (Former Tennant) August 2008.

I know everyone mentions the noise, but we haven't experienced this. The pool situation has gotten better as the summer has gone on (heated I mean) no whirlpool though still broke. I don't live close to the lake, but I am glad I do not. There are dead fish and gee droppings everywhere..The weekends are bad for the pool lots of college kids drinking and no one seems to care. Really annoying if you have small kids like me. Last week they were skateboarding into the pool....As far as fixing stuff around our apartment they come when you call, although they complain that we call a lot. Things are always breaking!

I have to respond to this one, and NO I do not work there. I am a resident who has lived there for over a year. I want to give my opinion to someone who is looking for a nice place to live because you cannot believe most of the comments on here. People tend to only leave comments when they are mad about something.
1. Why would you even say "mosquito infested lakes"?.. yes there are some mosquitos around the big lake during the summer, but you are seriously going to complain about that? The staff is supposed to control nature? That is like complaining to staff about a bird shitting on your car.
2)The pool is heated. I swam in that pool almost every night in the month of September.
3)I would hardly call the management cold-blooded. Maybe you caught one of them on a bad day-- property management is not an easy job.
4)I have NEVER seen a dead fish in either one of the ponds.
5)I don't find them to be overpriced. We live in Chicagoland... face it, no where is cheap!! Even the worst apartment complexes in the area are higher priced than most areas of the country. We are in an awesome location, right by the highway, close to my gym and favorite restaraunt and best of all to me-- it's safe. I feel completely comfortable walking around the property at night.
6)This is not a joke-- I have never heard my neighbors while I was in my apartment. If I am in the hallway I can hear if a TV is on loud but NEVER while inside my apartment. I even live above a garage and I have only heard that on a few occasions.
7)I have also never heard a pool party at 1:30 in the morning. And I live RIGHT NEXT TO THE POOL!
8) I don't know anything about someone throwing an explosive into the pool-- but come on, you make it sound like it is an every day occurance. Are you sure this isn't just something that happened one time? (or never?)
9)The only service request I have ever called in was for a clogged drain. (which is from my hair and not a malfunction of the apartment) They came over the same day and took care of it.
10) To the person who responded first-- yes I have seen geese droppings around the lake-- and again, that is nature-- GET OVER IT!
