My fiance, my 18month old daughter and I have lived here for a little over a year. I was really great at first. I was a stay at home mother becausse we couldn't afford daycare. Well a few moths ago I got a job and reported it to the office. Our rent has now jacked up from $254 to $600. The reason I got a job was to get ahead. With the rent that high we are now gonna move. Places like this were made solely for people who want to sit around and live of the state. It's definitly not for people to ever move out unless forced to. The paking is awful along with the stff. As for the old man that walks around "looking for anything to complain about" that is true. So take warning unless your lazy don't live here ever!!

Yeah I believe that Tall Oak Village is just for people that don't want to better themselves or for people on a fixed income. Being state funded you would think that they would want to help people like you trying to get ahead. I can see raising your rent a little but $400??? That is just crazy! I know of a few single moms that live there that don't work at all, they don't pay rent and the state pays for their cilco bills. They can have a FREE ride but they can't give you any HELP to better yourselves...what a bunch of BS!!
