They tried to charge us for painting the apartment after we moved out. Granted, We did owe them something since we painted a dark color. However, they are required to paint between tenants. After a long, heated discussion with the management, I finally got them to agree to having us pay the added expense of painting over the dark color. I thought I was done.

Three months later I received a notice from a bill collector saying that I owe Amli the rest of the money. Now I have to waste more time, and potentially a lawsuit in small claims court.

I would avoid Amli at all costs.

i have live in amli for 6 years they have not clean the carpet and paint the living room only once

Obviously someone from Amli's staff wrote under carly99 or someone who does not have a life. Amli is one the worst manage properties in the U.S. They are conceded and think they have the right to treat people as underlings. They will fight, munipulate, and be condescending to all that do not contribute to the Amli way of life. I lived there from 1998-2000 when they original switched the management. 1998-1999 was a great time with gatherings and parties. 1999-2000 was horrible with more pish-posh rules and random fines. I had many arguements with the management about changing the lease rules before my second lease. They told me ignore them. Nice! With the new management, they fined me for letting my cat outside and having an empty fire wood holder. Amli's new management made me so angry that I left three months before my lease was up without notice. Sorry Amli, due to statue of limitations you only have less than a year to find me. In other words, that leased was signed in April 1999, and it is June 2005. Amli will never get there money after all the s*** I had to put up with from their management team. The property itself is beautiful, but the management swings with the exact opposite mode of pure ugliness. Hopefully they will change their undesireable ways.
