Not so great but not horrible either

I know how frustrating it is to have to look for an apartment and not know exactly what you are getting yourself into so let me tell you a little about Briarcliffe Lakeside.
My roommate and I moved in about 7 months ago and when we signed our lease the management staff promised that our kitchen and bathroom would be renovated...sure it will be when our lease is up. They have a "lovely" clubhouse with a fitness center which in all honesty is pretty nice except for the fact the hours are terrible. If you have a job don't plan on being able to use it because the clubhouse is open mostly during the day and after "business" hours the people who fill-in are rude and worthless. There is a business center that has two...yes count them TWO computers! One of which is almost always broken and if you are lucky to get a computer well hope it's the one that's hooked up to the printer. The pool is fairly decent except all the kids that run around it. If you have a maintance problem good luck getting it fixed within a week. The renovations that are very much needed don't take place until you have moved out of your apartment so I would suggest not moving into an apartment that hasn't been renovated yet because some of them are a bit junky. In my apartment the kitchen cabinets are barely hanging on, there was major water damage in one cabinet and the dishwasher is broken. We have a major problem with spiders and when I reported this I was told so does everyone. The noise level is o.k. Thankfully, my apartment building doesn't have too many rowdy kids but some do. However, if there are people outside I can hear them even with the windows closed. There is a nice lake that when it doesn't have garbage floating in it is very pretty. I haven't had any problems with the parking situation but parking isn't assigned so if you get home after around 7 p.m. plan on not getting a great spot. There are parking permits but if you have one or not you can still park in the lot. I am sure that when the renovations are finished these apartments will be very nice and very expensive. All in all it's not a bad place for a couple of college-aged kids but if you are looking for something a little more upscale and quiet look elsewhere.
