Over all we have enjoyed our stay here. In the summer months we did have a big ant problem (we're on the first floor), but Avalon Lakeside did what they could, had the apt sprayed 3 times. Friendly neighbors. We have a 2 year old and we never had a problem with not feeling safe. Maintenence is pretty good, they come within 24 hours (most of the time sooner). We havent had too much trouble with the management, which is a huge plus. Many people here have big dogs, but all seem really friendly, my son loves to watch them as they pass. There is a lot of college students, but we hardly ever here them. Oh we did have some re-occuring mildew in our sons room and under sinks, but it was always taken care of right away. Although, it did KEEP coming back. Really nice grounds, lots of trees, and a lot of sidewalks around for walks. The bigest complaint i have is the size, especially the kitcen, pretty small for 3 people, but we managed fine. We would stay, but we feel that the rent is going to be too high for the size.
