I must say that although there are MANY things I do not like about Avalon at Danada, the one thing that is great is the floor plans. You can't beat living in a townhome for the price of an apartment. I think the layout is what kept me at Avalon so long. However, in time I learned the layout did not make up for all the other things that I experienced. First of all the staff is awful. There is a new person working in the leasing office every week, no one sticks to their word, they tell you what you want to hear to get you off their back and then they don't actually do anything for you, they are NOT here for the customer and they are completely inconsiderate.
The power goes out continually so there were multiple times I only had my garage door opener with me and not my key and well you guessed it I sat outside for hours. Also, in the last two years I lived there I was notified of multiple break ins, and the leasing office didn't seem to concerned about it.
My washer broke and they never fixed it. My fridge leaked, my roommate's bathroom mirror fell off, our hot water went on and off, and our bath tubs constantly clogged. We also had a problem with flies and lady bugs and when we called the leasing office we were told we lived in the woodsy area (I don't remember seeing any woods''') and they would try their best to do something about it. Nothing was done. Nothing was still done when we called back to let them know that spiders had been added to the mix and now no one could use our front door.
So basically, this place looks nice. And the leasing agents will be totally fake and nice to you at the begining, but once you are a resident forget about it. They only care about new business, they don't appear to be concerned with keeping the business they already have. I admit the floor plans are hard to part with, but at this point I would rather live in a one room studio than deal with the staff and the lack of loyalty to residents. Avalottanothing!
