Shambles...

FYI to anyone interested, I do not live in these apartments but in the neighborhood behind them. When they were built they were quite nice and maintained an upscale appearance. However, in the past year or so these buildings have become run down and dumpy looking. The new management explains a bit. They are in desperate need of exterior paint, and new pavement. The old management used to have beautiful flowers and lawns. Now they are all over grown and dying. I hope the Avalon smartens up and cleans up their properties because they are becoming an eyesore.

needs paint? how they are brick and vinyl sided. they mow the lawns every week and yes the grass is burnt in places but it summer and that happens sometimes. I do have some issues with the managment but to say the place is a dump and in shambles is not fair.

What neighborhood? The closest neighborhood is across a large pond and not easily visible. The siding is indeed vinyl and doesn't get paint. If I could just get the new neighbors to shut up, I would love it here again.

not to mention, there are only a couple buildings with actual balconies and the "backyard" faces to the garbage dumps of the backs of commercial buildings. for paying $1800-$2000 for a 4 bedroom luxury apartment, shouldn't there at least be a balcony or some type of decent view to look upon??? the drafts in this place were very bad. we also had a problem with horribly noisy lunatic neighbors straight off the boat from ireland - they had a huge family and rented out two or three houses side by side then would wreak havoc on the entire neighborhood. sheer terror. the places are indeed very nice. appliances are all new and everything is very white and very fresh - but it is extremely expensive to live there and i don't see why someone who can afford to pay $2000 won't just buy their own townhouse/house and put the money back into their own pockets instead of giving it to avalon. |
