I agree with the previous poster that Jan, the manager is very rude and cold. Her precious Porsche is always parked in front of the main entrance of the apartment building (her office is in the same building as our apartment) and we have to beg her to remove it if we have to move anything. She is also very indifferent and cold to our situations.

Jan is never there when you need her. She saunters in at 11AM and is gone in a few hours. She has a very nice elderly lady helping her but the poor lady has no decision making authority. She is nice but she cannot help. Most of the time the office is manned either by this nice elderly lady or Jan's elderly dad, both of whom are very nice people (Jan leaves her dad in the office and goes off somewhere, and he answers the phone)

Being a single woman, I had concerns about my safety so I had inquired about parking at a different spot (all the parking spots at this complex are marked with your apartment number, so it is easy for someone to tell whether or not you are home)
Jan very rudely told me that my car would be towed immediately if I parked anywhere other than the marked spot and that I was to park only where I was told to park.

I have not seen the other buildings in this complex, but the halls on my complex were always dark and smelled funny.

The walls are paper thin and I can hear people cough, fart, snore, flush their toilets etc etc very easily.

There is only one laundry room in the whole building

Grounds are very well maintained, though, which means the leaf blowers and the mowers are in every week and that results in a lot of noise

I am glad I am out of this complex. It is not a very bad place to stay, but this rude manager makes it almost unbearable

I agree with most of what this poster says (especially about Jan, the extremely rude and unprofessional manager), but I dont agree with the poster that this apartment is all that bad. It is at a nice location and is nice and quiet. All in all this is not that bad of an apartment. Had it not been for the manager Jan, who is a biyotch from hell, I would have given this apartment a better rating. Long story short, pay your rent and try not to deal with Jan, and this apartment is not too bad.

I had a very good experience with Jan. I don't know what you people did to make her mad, but she was very accommodating. She even had a new dishwasher installed. All the office staff, the older woman and Jan's father are super nice and helpful. The grounds are well kept but the buildings are older like the residents. Overall, a great place to live for older single people-def. not for young party people!

I have had only a positive experience with Jan. She has been nothing but nice so far. I think as long as you, the tenant, do the right thing, she would be wonderful person to deal with. I stop by her office time to time, she has been always nice to me and my kids. You may want to review what you have done. Maybe you did something to frustrate her.
