Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
My wife and I lived at the Willows for 2 years, as we saved to buy a home. The office Staff (Adam and Tonya) was very nice. The maintenance man (Mark) was very helpful. And the owner, who we only ran into a couple times, seemed nice. We lived in a one-bedroom unit on the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor units have vaulted ceilings, which make the living/dining room appear more spacious. If there is a 3rd floor opening, I highly recommend getting it because you will feel cramped with the normal ceilings. Also, if you can get a pond (South) facing unit, go for it. They have a pond with a fountain that gives the serene waterfall sound and you will save more on your heating bill because of more sun exposure. My wife and I were facing the parking lot, which doesn't really get loud, but it doesn't offer as much privacy and a nice vista as the pond view. Another plus about the apartments was the washer/dryer in-unit. Lastly and honestly, you can find nicer apartments in Wheaton, such as AMLI. But if you are like us...saving for a home and don't need anything luxurious because it's only temporary, the Willows offers the best apartment value.
