1) The place is falling apart and management does not help at all. They will move only if you threaten them with legal action
2) Many security issues. A woman was allegedly attacked in the property and the only thing that management did was to issue a warning and remind tenants to watch out.
3) The unit that I was occupying had serious insulation issues and the AC was malfunctioning. Management never fixed the problem despite my frequent complaints
4) A friend of mine had to deal with a mice infestation in another unit in the same complex
6) I moved to another State and management never sent my security deposit

6) Did they deposit the security deposit check? If so, contact your bank and get a record of it as proof of what they collected from it. Then you should seek legal action - the landlords will need to come up with documented proof for reasons why you were unable to get the deposit back. Maybe they'll come up with a bunch of BS, but maybe not and you could get at least some of the deposit back. If nothing else, it will serve as a warning to these landlords that it is not ok for them to pull this stuff, and people will take action if they do!
