So their is a policy at Woodland Creek that you have to give a two month prior notification of when you want to move out. So we started this process in Aug of 09 and we dropped our letter off on Aug 2nd with our check and the office staff told us that they could not accept it on the 2nd day of the month so we said fine and then again turned it on Aug 31st so that it would be in by Sept 1 of 2009 and hand walked it in and followed that up with a phone call the next day. Two months later which would be now we called in to see what day we have to be gone by the 31st or the 1st of the month and the tell us they have no paper work from us and when we emailed our proof they said that our letter was unacceptable bc it had scratch outs on it. We have tried talking to them and explaining our situation to them over and over but they said we are responsible for the next two months of rent and or they will put us in collections. Do not move into this apartment complex! They are not helpful with anything including complaints and do not want you to move out because they are losing tenants by the day.

By the time I moved our I knew they were like this. I brought my letter in 3 months in advance and had them sign that they accepted it. I would recommend this for anyone planning to leave!

Agreed completely. I thought I was the only person they tried to do this to! Someone should file a class action lawsuit against them or something. What they are doing is clearly illegal.
