Love that it's new...and that's about it.

I'll admit my fiance and I are picky about where we live, but when you're paying almost $1100 in rent (PLUS all utilities) per month, I think that's allowed!

Several people mentioned items they enjoy and I'd like to address those:
-First of all, this is annonymous because THIS IS THE INTERNET! Honestly, I think you're putting yourself in a bad situation by giving out information on the internet, but that's just my belief.
-The carts for groceries and bags are nice when they're actually available and returned by other residents, which is not very often.
-The freight elevator is NEVER working in my building! I've contacted management almost every week last month! It seems several people in my building have keys management never requested they give back and they now use and LOCK the elevator for their personal use every weekend. Isn't that nice'! And management continues to send me e-mails and voice mails insuring this will no longer occur. So far, no change.
-We have a dog. She barks. Dogs bark. We understand that. However, there are so many freakin yippers in this community. Dogs are constantly going off outside, inside, down the halls, EVERYWHERE. Seems the residents don't know how to say "No bark" to their dog like ours learned in puppy school. Annoying and pathetic.
-The biggest issue is that AMLI changed MANY policies recently, after we signed our lease stating other policies. Quite convinient for them, however, now I'm not allowed to take my dog in the elevators (except the freight elevator; oh wait, that one never works, so we all get to walk up six flights of stairs which isn't a problem for me, however, it's not so easy for my epileptic dog), and other lovely policy changes. I'm sorry, but if I sign a lease agreeing to those terms, I don't appreciate being required to continue paying enormous amounts of rent when I'm now inconvenienced by the new policies.

The units are nice, but they should be for how much we pay! I work in real estate and know market rents--they're lucky we're paying as much as we are! My suggestion to prospective renters is to look elsewhere, unless you like being ignored. AMLI seems to be great when you are looking to rent, but they disappear once you sign that lease. Our leasing agent acted like our best friend when we signed our lease; now when we contact her with problems, we don't hear a peep! Well, with their numerous constant staff changes, she's probably been replaced five times over!

We can't wait to move and find a new, beautiful apartment with attentive and responsive management.
