Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
Moved from another apartment in northwest suburbs six months ago. I am living in a two bedroom apartment in the sixth floor. Non-dog building, so no dog problems.
ve :
1. There is absolutely no noise - Its so quiet I feel I have neighbours.
2. Underground heated parking is provided free of cost. No more cleaning snow from car during winter
3. The rent is on the higher side - so the residents are first class.
4. Leasing agents are very nice and courteous. They went out of their way to help us many times. Very professional. However, its difficult to get hold of them sometimes - more on that in -ve.
5. Lot of community events are arranged by the Apartment - like free pizza in a nearby restaurant once in two months, halloween celebration, holiday celebration, free movie showing once in two month and much more.
6. Cinemark movie theater, Krispy Kreme, Edwards fitness center, Quiznos Sub, Coldstone ice cream and few other shops at walkable distance (< 5 mins).
7. Lisle metra station is < 2 miles away. Driving is horrendous during morning peak hours - Rt. 53 is very very crowded and it takes 15 mins. to go to the station. There is a bus available to go to Lisle Metra station during peak times - it stops right in front of the apartment.
8. The apartment is new. Constructed only on Oct 2002 - barely 2 years old. All appliances are new and in great working condition.
9. The apartment is well-lit.
10. The fitness center and business center (couple of internet connected computers) are open 24 hours a day. Fitness center is not much crowded and the equipments are in top condition. They even have a vending machine in the fitness center, which is cool.
11. No issues with maintenance. Had couple of minor issues and were fixed immediately.
-ve :
1. Leasing agents are few in number and are so busy. Its difficult to get hold of them if you need to talk about something.
A
2. Mid-rise building. I am not much of a mid-rise or high-rise person - I would like to stay in first or second floor on a two-floor apartment. But its a trade-off I have to make.
3. The essentials like grocery stores (Jewel/Dominick), gas stations are near-by. But for most of the shopping like Malls, Costco you need to go to Rt.59/Naperville which a good 20 mintues by drive. To make things worse the Naperville traffic is horrendous even during weekends.
