Not worth it

The place was nice, but the management is very poor. I took an apartment on the pet floor because it had a golf course view and I made sure to ask if the carpets were cleaned thoroughly before moving in because I do not have pets. They assured me they clean them very well. The day I moved in, the smell of wet dog was so overwhelming that it almost made me sick, it took me almost a month to get the smell to the point of living without wanting to vomit. There was a SMALL stain on the carpet INSIDE the bedroom closet that I didnt mention on the move in inspection form because it was so minor that a little bit of oxy-clean could have taken care of it. Upon moving out they charged me $35 for the stain, and I wasnt the one who put it there! $35!'!' They said too bad. I called ComEd to switch the utilities over and they had made a mistake and it didnt get switched right away so AMLI charged me $75 for a processing fee because they had to pro-rate the electric charges... something that was AGAIN not my fault in which I tried to explain. I only lived there 3 months because of unfortunate circumstances so the proof they needed to take the charge off wouldnt have been done in time before moving out because of ComEd's billing cycle so AMLI said it was too bad and I had to fight with them for 2 days over this. They will do anything to take your money and they are not helpful, their comeback is to just say... thats too bad. What a joke! Dont move in this place if you want to be treated fairly, find a smaller place where the landlord actually cares. If you dare to live here, make sure you cover your ass in every way!
