1. Management is terrible
The people in the office were kind of friendly at first, the minute I let them know I was not planning to renew the lease, their whole demeanor and attitude toward me changed.
What a shame that such a nice looking apartment complex has such incompetent workers and management. A friend of mine moved in there and got screwed over the deposit money. They kept it on the pretense that the stove was dirty or the carpet was not well maintained. Like they were not expecting any wear and tear, nor people to use the appliances, nor to walk on the carpet. What a joke those people in the leasing office are!
2. Maintenance sucks
Can't close your windows' Oh- that's normal. Closet doors keep coming off track- oh, that's normal. Water dripping into your bathroom from upstairs- oh, that s no big deal- that's normal!!!
When I do call for maintenance it takes days for them to show up, and when they do they don't resolve the problem. My kitchen light went out 2 months ago. There are no windows in my kitchen. Complete darkness. It is a big u-shaped bulb that they are required to replace. Supposed to last a long time. Right. It took them a week to get in to fix it. The next day it was out again. They didn't even know how to screw in a bulb!!!! It is now out again
I complained about the AC unit in my living room the week I moved in, and the day after I moved out it was still not fixed. The good 'old A/C's they have here.....um circa 1970. yeah. Mine were on- with extra fans that I bought and I still wasn't comfortable- and then when I got to look at my electric bill ---what a joke! I was paying big bucks to sit and sweat in my own apartment! I would have been better off walking around Jewel than sitting on my couch with a fan in my face!

The parking is terrible here. They do not monitor it at all. Why do they bother telling people that they "have to have a parking sticker or else!" I come home at night after work and I have to park far away from my building while there are a bunch of cars parked right up near my entry-way with no stickers on their vehicles at all. It's icy everywhere in the parking lot, maintenance or whoever is supposed to plow the parking lot does not do a thing about it
the heating- where do I start. Shall I say ridiculious' It's the middle of winter and my heat is OFF and my apt is so unbelievably hot that I have to open all the windows to get comfortable. My neighbors all said the same to me. But if you call maintenance they tell you that they have to have the heat set a "certain degree"
Summer- Alrighty then- Awful dishwashers- you can't watch tv or be on the phone while it's running! You can't hear a thing. It's as loud as a semi truck. But the guys in maintenance tell me that it's normal for a dishwasher to sound like that. So basically I have to go into my bedroom and shut the door to have a conversation on the phone when my dishwasher is running. I can't sit in the living room. "All that grinding noise is normal."
I could go on and on.
Not to mention the drug dealing business going on in the parking lot causing the police to be on site two or three times a day.

I could of sworn that I wrote this! I AGREE with EVERY WORD! But--you forgot to mention that with all these problems--they still have the nerve to RAISE THE RENT!!
