How do I begin to explain the nightmare that was Natural Falls! First of all, what the other people wrote was TOTALLY TRUE! We also had a serious sewer issue. The pipes--and toilet--and bathtub--would back up all the time. Especially after a heavy rain. The place--both inside and outside is filthy! They used to have grounds crew that came by and picked up garbage, but that hasn't happened in years! They rarely clean the common areas, and when they do--it's with a bucket filled with dirty water that they drag around with them! The common front doors to our building were always broke! I could never get into the back door with my key, I always had to use the front! The problem was that the front door would break in such a way that it would never open--whether inside or out! Talk about a fire hazzard! You could NOT LEAVE THE BUILDING BY THE FRONT DOOR!!! As the other people said--Management could care less! When we called about all the problems, nothing would be done! Their great excuse was "The Repair Ticket Must Of Gotten Lost"! Time and time again, nothing would be fixed. We had a leak in our apartment for two YEARS before someone actually tore out the wall and fixed it. Since they tore out the carpeting, the noise is UNGODLY!!! I swear, I thought the roof was about to fall in --that's how bad the noise is! It sounds like a herd of cattle moving around and even the softest music can be heard two doors down. Parking is a total nightmare. Unless you live right on Forest Drive--you will have a walk to get to your apartment. On Friday and Saturday nights, it could be quite a walk, indeed! Trust me--it's lots of fun with kids and tons of groceries! Most of the "security" lights in the parking lot are burned out--we called on that as well--nothing was ever done. In the last few months a group of 20 or so teens would hang out in the parking lot with their bikes and skateboards --literally blocking the road and making even more garbage..the wonderful maintenance men would drive by and not do or say anything. This place has really gone downhill! Whoever this Wilmette Real Estate is who owns it could care less and is in it just for the money. They also own the other aprtment complexes around there as well---getting a nice slum lord feel to the entire neighborhood! Then there is the school, Edgewood, both of my kids had problems with the staff there. Edgewood School claimed that they needed help with reading..etc.etc..which I never believed. Well.....at their new school--they are on the HONOR ROLL! So...in a nutshell...the place is small, dirty, no parking, no security, horrible upkeep, no sound insulation, horrible staff and management and the school the kids go to is the worst in the district (check out IIRC.com) --why would you even think of moving here'
