Economical and nice, good starter renting location

I lived for a year at Pine Ridge and liked the apartment fairly well. It is reasonably close to major roads, although Janes Avenue and local roads are typical Chicago - slow and overcrowded at rush hour. I would NOT commute to Chicago this far from downtown. I generally liked the place, although road noise is an issue with the toll road so close. Heating is included, but in-wall air conditioners are expensive to run and generally don't work as well as central air. Small kitchen, but nice balcony and dining area. Good size overall. Management is average.
