I have lived here about a year now and don't mind it at all. As far as apartments go, it's really pretty good.

Pluses: Maintenance is AWESOME! My heat did not work the first day I turned it on. I called and someone came to fix it in an hour! (He even had gone home for the day and came back for me). Maintenance also came by and fixed my screen door that had fallen off track without me asking! They noticed it and fixed it on their own! Thanks! Office staff has been nice. The pool is nice. The apartments themselves are pretty spacious. I LOVE the closet space in the bedroom! Balcony is nice! Big windows! Fire places are unique! Free water is a plus too! No bugs! (Just the occasional gnat or fly that sneaks in). Fire alarm has only gone off ONCE in my building. Off within 15 minutes.

Minuses: The building are OLD. The wooden stairs scare me everytime I have to walk up them, but so far they have hung in there. The heat/air conditioning works best only when you close the vent in one room and open in the other (ie. You only get direct heat/cold in one room at a time!) Cabinets in the kitchen and most are high... no room for food once dishes/pots/pans go in. I have been creative with the space and used shelving to build a pantry in the closet next the the kitchen. Neighbors ok. I have seen the police once or twice and have heard loud neighbors talking next door or on cell phones outside. Otherwise, everyone keeps to themselves. Parking is odd. If you come home late, expect to walk quite a ways to your place. No dishwasher. No washer/dryer in unit. Laundry facilities are small and a little scary for a female alone! I have resorted to taking laundry to my parents house to do.

Either: Depends on what you like! Surrounded by nice wooded area. Tree-filled. Have seen a few woodland creatures scurrying around-- bunnies, squirrels, chipmunks, & one skunk. Heard foxes may roam around as well.

I am very willing to renew my lease! Just wish we had a washer and dryer!
