I have lived there for over three years and I can tell you that at first it was very peaceful. However, in the last several months the management of the Condos, the ladies in the office who are pathological liars, have made it unbearable and I am moving out this month. First of all, the new "Patrol and Tow" policy is ridiculous. The rules change without notice and there is absolutely no visitor parking provided. They sell the visitor passes at the office for $7 each and both times my guest have had a pass and still got towed. Do you think it was just or reasonable' No way- $170 each tow, plus if you don't pick it up immediately add on $40/day in storage. The tow yard is over 30 mins away in Aurora and the people who work there are just as revolting as the wretches in the Waterbury Condo office. It was very upsetting, and then to be lied to and refused to rectify the situation made it worse. The "board of directors" make the rules (This is a committee of mean and ruthless people who get together to decide how to screw people) New rule, no children are allowed to play in common areas. So that means the children can't play baseball, or even a game of catch outside. So I guess it's better if they are bored and causing mischief for the residents, or breaking in apartments which is also common. The bugs are disgusting. Roaches, ants, pinchers, centipedes, spiders, basically you name it- it lives in Waterbury with all of its family. The cleaning crew vacuums the hallways at 7 a.m. and is soo loud. But you can't do laundry until 9 a.m. because there is a timer on the washer and dryer that begins at 9 p.m. and turns the price to $4.75 until 9 a.m. on the dot. So good luck doing laundry if you are a full time student and work nights. The association has also hired incompetent workers to repair the parking lot and the maintenance man is often driving around chugging Miller Lites while hitting on the women who live there. This is no joke, I can't think of one positive thing to say except that the Waterbury police task force has some great looking officers. Yes, the complex has its own task force to help fight the drug dealers who call out to you as you turn in from the corner in the summer, and hide in the bushes inside the courtyard. Kinda scary! Yes, I think anywhere is better than this dump.
