We lived in these apartments for 6 months, and had countless problems. They never stopped. We moved in Jan. of 07, and for 2 weeks we had no heat. When maintenece came to "fix" the problem, it was "our" fault the thermostat wasn't connected properly. Our door knob was broken and we informed the office of this before we even moved in, and still it took them 2 months to fix it. And again, it was "our" fault. The dishwasher broke at least 3 times, and the kitchen light stopped working about a month after we moved in. Maintence told us not to replace the bulb because if we do it wrong, the light will fall and we would be responsible for replacing it. Another problem that was never fixed. The dining room light hangs too low, and you constantly hit your head. There isn't much space for a table because there is a built in computer desk, and you have to get cable internet if you want internet.. there are no other options. Our neighbors across the hall tried to break into the apartment twice in one night, and managment did nothing about it. Paper thin walls, you can hear everything. Cheap carpet that comes up just from vaccuming, and then you are charged to replace it. We had no hot water for 2 weeks, and although it was considered an emergency, it wasn't addressed until 4 days after the work order was placed. The only reason it was fixed was because we called the answering service and made a complaint at 2am. Security isn't helpful, they pick and choose who they want to tend to. We had to call the police instead, because the guard wouldn't do anything. Small living room, but not too bad. They have a pet policy and breed restriction on dogs which nobody follows. Even when they were informed about the problem, they said there was nothing they could do. We saw pitbulls, boxers, rottweilers and other bully breed dogs above 50lbs. There was never anywhere to park because people in our building constantly had parties.. and there was "nothing they could do" about it. My car had a sticker and was allowed to be there, and I went outside and they were getting ready to tow it because I had PA plates.. when there were cars there the entire 6 months with no stickers that were never towed. We were paying $725 for a one bedroom one bath apartment, and if we chose to renew our lease our rent would be raised to $795. THESE APARTMENTS ARE ONLY COSMETIC!!!!! IT'S NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!
