I have been here for the past 3 years and had some like issues with tennants that live above me too. The first year I had complained about parties the tennants above me. They had played loud music too till 4am and many banging noises and loud laughing and amoung other fights between this couple I heard plenty of stories thru the walls. And Yes you do hear thru the walls everything from someone going to the bathroom to having sex. I heard drugs discussed too inside and outside the window. This was within the first 6 months of this couple moving in. After meeting the women stating that she was very quiet when she moved in. I had warned them several times at hours that most people should be sleeping. I finally called security on those days. They did have a gentleman walking around in those days Who did not come out at first. I finally called the Cops as I thought the women was getting attacked fearing for her life! About a month later another fellow came along and decided to beat up his puppy at weird hours of the night for punishment as he was too lazy to take the dog out. So I called animal control a few times to let them know that they had repeatively locked there puppy up in the bathroom which you could hear as well for a weekend and the dog barked continuously non stop. And for beating his dog up and throwing it around. My dog had even perked up to think someone was truley beating the dog up and was sensitive to the dogs crying and loud beating up noises. After contacting the office as well explaining what had happend they were all appologetic but told me to contact police when such things happen.Needless to say the gentleman does not live there any longer with the dog. I am hopeing the dog is alive and well today!!!! There were other signs of prank things going on after I had contacted the right authorities to settle problems. So I totally went about my business. But with working and getting up at 5:30am to hear a party going on till 4:00am is unacepptable. Cops assured me that it would be the last. But I continued to call 4 times in the period of 4 months with same issues. Also noticed that there is a restriction when running any appliances from washer n dryer to dishwasher after 10pm and noticed at times in the beginning that the tennants were running laundry at weird hours of midnight and early morning hours of the morning. I also noticed the first year I was hear the snowplowing in the winter was the worst I had ever seen. As the landscaping business at the time had plowed all snow behind all the cars leaving them blocked in with 3 to 5 foot piles. Upon clearing my own car out I would see the crew for this contractor company standing around with the shovels in the hands not doing anything but watching me and laughing like it was a joke. I told them you should be shoveling the sidewalk and not standing around. I had lost some time off of work due to them plowing and burying my car into the parking spot it was in. I even have pictures to prove it for my past employer for proof of what fine examples of a apartment complex has to offer. How do you expect people to get off to work and pay the rent there if you are stuck burried in a parking spot. I have also seen vehicles that have not moved with NO stickers and stickers on there cars that sit and sit with no resolution to be moved so that other tennants can have a spot. I have also had issues with not being able to park in winter too where there are many tennants that have late night parties and you can not even park near where I live. In one instance. I had to park almost out to the far end of the complex and walk past 2 complexs to get where I lived. I also think there should be a car restriction as there should be 2 cars to a family. I have also seen a truck sit and sit in same spot and not move in the past 2 years now and has never run. I have had some minor issues of small things hapening to fix things in the apartment and they were always resolved within a week or so. But there was a instance were I had to remind them as the maintenance gentleman had forgot to do it. He had the workorder! The original berber carpet is very cheap and is very hard to clean and at times you will see it fray or come up. I just think it is something the last management did to slap together in such a hurry to finish the job. They could have done better on carpet. But from what I hear they have been replacing the carpet when the tennants leave with some better stuff than berber. There was an issue with the card machine for laundry at one time too and was told they were replaceing it with a new one and the comment I got was when you asked them when the new one was coming. It was a chuckle saying well you have to do your laundry some where else now and we don't know when it's coming in. I believe it took about 6 weeks and they said they were putting a rush on it. And after finding out that it was robbed and that they had moved into the office makes more sense why you should do your laundry at a laundry mat. And just so you are aware if you do not pay your rent exactly when you are saposed to pay. If you let it go past 2 weeks they do call a private investigator in to scare you and sign documents at weird hours of the evening and take you to court and ontop of that make you pay even if you pay 2 weeks late a additional fee of $500.00 or more for court cost even if you do not go to court you still have to pay a penalty just for the private investigator and the paperwork. So it does not pay to fight the system and be 2 weeks late even if you get paid certain times of the month. As I had to pay that and and my rent too. I have seen also last year people standing around at late night hours in the parking lot playing a bean bag toss. How are people to drive thru there with there cars when they are standing around and not moving out of the way and telling me to get out of there way as I am driving thru to park my car! I have told someone it is like a College sirority dorm here with amount of booze bottles and bear cans I see laying around. It is cheaper to live here but they have since raised the rent too as well. I had to consider other options too as the cost of living has sky rocketed. I have had someone leave a note on my door to tell me to stop my dog from barking during the days they were not able to sleep . Well my type of dog does not bark and I was home during the hours it happend. My type of dog breed does not bark at all and my dog is a older dog who is layed back and only barks when told on command! So I was upset as the person must have had the wrong unit. When people do have kids under the age of 5 running around the unit on the floors they should be a little more respectful as these apartments are not a jungle gym where they are made to run continuously up and down the stairs and hall ways and jump off of beds and slam doors in bathrooms. Have a little respect of people living down below! All in all they do try to make it nice with the lighted walk way around the pond. But I have seen those lights broken many times over the years not sure if it is kids or just revenge. And they have done a better job at plowing this past year and with salting on the sidewalks more.... so much that there was way too much to bring into the apartment. They had stressed to say they were making sure that the cars were not parked past the curbs so that they could plow appropriatly. They did not plow the cars in and in fact I had to wave and give the thumbs up to the plowing crew as they did a better job!Altho ther were spots that were not plowed out that they could have gotten to so that other cars can park there. Instead cars were pulling in and getting stuck ontop of snow. I have had good responses with the office but answers were much diffrent with all the girls in there. Each one did not stick with same story when asking diffrent quesitons. So at this point this will be my last year here as the things I see going on is on the shady side and you have to wonder is it really worth the trouble and the rent you pay here. But then again you can have some of the same issues at a home or condo or townhome too. Or have worse conditions to live in another apartment such as flooding. I have had rodents in my apartment with no resolution as they claim they would call someone. After several months that did not happen. As I gave up. But I took it upon myself after to buy the mouse traps and caught the bastard after it had ate and ruined many things in my apartment. Probally should have made them deduct it off the rent for a 5.00 for the mouse trap!

I agree with everything you said! Ever since the new management company took over, it's been nothing but problems...or should I say more problems than before. This company only cares about one thing...money. They don't care about living up to their end of the lease or dealing with problems. Half of the time complaints are never dealt with, or are dealt with so poorly, you'd wish you would have never said anything. I'm happy I will be moving out next week. This could be a really wonderful community if it were managed by people who had even a small bit of ethics.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's had rodents! I caught seven mice in a week with little or no help from the office. I finally dumped a mouse carcass on the manager's desk and threatened legal action. You can bet your ass someone was there the next day.

I think I will do the same if this issue continues and I see more rodents eating my cereal and running around my counters. If you see 1 you know there are 10 more running around. I at times here them inbetween the walls at night. So who knows what kind of wiring and drywall will be wrecked. If they don't take care of it now there apartment complex can be destroyed by rodents. Yes that could be grounds for not paying your rent with rodents in your apartment. A Health and safety issue. If this is section 42 or what ever it is for low income familys too. You could have one hell of a lawsuit with that issue going on. Altho one of the girls in the office shrugged it off and laughed and said oh well I have them too in my condo when I told her. They must be her pets! Because this seemed pretty normal to her. This could be a good community with the right actions being addressed appropriatly and handled on a profesional and proactive manner.

This is to miss blondie. I think you must like it here at woodstock commons cause you still park your car as if you drive a semi truck. You must have just moved to another unit, I thought you were leaving this place....what happpen? You must not have had it that rough around here. Maybe you should really pack your stuff and move instead of complainen' Or maybe just deal with it.
