How this complex treats people has to stop! They recently just conducted an 'inspection' of my apartment. They never gave me any notice and then one day here they are telling me that they have to look at my apartment. They went through everything in my house...looking in drawers, closets. I asked the people doing the inspection what they were looking for and they told me to "Shut up and go sit in your living room." I don't know why they are able to get away with things like this, but if I can make it so another person thinking about moving here doesn't have to go through what most of us are going through, then that is good enough.
Please, Please don't move here! There are other places in the area that don't treat you like a criminal!

We need to all get in touch some how- Sorry to hear about your invasion of privacy. It is not only against the law it is also stated in the lease that 24 hours notice is necessary before your apartment is entered by Oakbrook/Commons staff. The only exception is in the case of an emergency- such as a water leak, fire, or something that puts others in danger. Lawyers have been contacted by many residents. Also call Jen at the Northwest Herald at 815-338-1300 and I read something about channel 5? being interested? Plus the BBB should be notified! Any more questions or comments continue to post
