The apartments look good at first glance, but...
This complex is income-restricted, meading you can't make more than $30k, yet they don't pass their tax benefits down to their renters - Rent is high (average between $600 and $700/mo) yet property value is dirt cheap. The owners contracted with a cable company in Michigan to save a buck, yet again, the tennants don't see a dime of that savings, and the cable-internet is even slower than DSL.
Also - the doors don't fit in the frames right, you can see light around every door when closed. The apartment is always chilly.
If you are thinking of moving in, ask all these questions first.
