After new management took over, I was told I would not be getting my security deposit back because it was going towards redecorating after I moved out. This is not the purpose of a security deposit.

New mgmt tells renters they can pay their rent with a credit card, but we can't. There are a lot of fees in the lease agreement and you are told they are not part of your rent, but you will pay a lot to live here, as the mgmt is very greedy. Hope this helps.
