When we moved here the staff was extremely friendly to us. We picked this apartment because it has the newest applicances compared to other complexes and includes a washer and dryer. When we moved in the fireplace, stove, dishwasher and dryer had to be fixed. The maintenance crew had to come back a few times to try to fix the stove. One of the burners only burns on high, they couldn't figure out how to fix it correctly. Then the hot water tank started to leak. We thought that they probably just had to replace a part because that's typical of a hot water tank. Instead of fixing it the maintenance team elected to replace it. It took them all day to replace this hot water tank. I think spending over 6 hours replacing or fixing an item is ridiculous. The appliances aren't even the big part of the problem. The maintenance person advised me that they will go around and unlock and open doors if they have a complaint about your dog and you're not suppose to have a dog. I brought that up to the staff at the leasing office and no one had a comment, everyone just looked at the ground. I am in a bottom apartment and I can hear everything the upstairs neighbors do. I can hear him walking around, opening a drawer in the kitchen, showering and various other things. I know my neighbor isn't trying to be annoying, you shouldn't be able to hear those things. It's almost as if there's a thin layer of material separating the two floors. My upstairs neighbor dropped something one day and I thought it was going to fall through the floor, the ceiling bounced down & back up. I talked to the leasing manager about these concerns and she told me that she doesn't know why I would be hearing all of those things and she asked me if I was sure that was what I was hearing. Then I asked the manager if I could transfer to an apartment upstairs. Her exact words were "you know that you have to wait 6 months and that there's a $300 transfer fee right'" I said, are you serious and she said "yes". I have never been treated this poorly in an apartment complex before. I have been nothing but nice to these people and they really don't care about my situation. As a tenant I probably have no recourse and I can't afford to break my lease because I would have to either pay 2 months of rent or 2/3rds of the remainder of the rent, whichever is greater. My lease ends in November, you do the math. I can't express how much I do not like living here. I only wish that they would evict me so that I can get out of this lease. Since I like my neighbors and I wouldn't do anything to make anyone upset I'm stuck.

I live in an apartment owned by the same management in Greenwood- they are treating me badly as well. Class action lawsuit anyone???
