I have been living here for 4 months now and it's not so bad. I like the apartment and have had no problems with anything breaking or the leasing staff. I walk my dog mostly everyday and yesterday was the first day I smelled the smell of the water treatment plant. I only got a whif of it as the wind blew in my direction. I was near the back of the complex. I live closer to the front and do not smell it. I wouldn't of moved here if I was going to be placed anywhere past the big lake in the middle of the complex. Not just because of the smell, but also - who wants to look at that view of the treatment plant outside your window everyday' Overall, I feel my apartment is decently priced (compared to others in the city) for the amount of sq feet and closet space. I feel its somewhat private and safe. I like living in Avon, and these apartments are located past most of the hustle and bustle of traffic. Also, it seems to be a very pet friendly place.

I agree, the square footage and layouts are nice and the location away from the hustle and bustle is very nice as well. Renter be ware though because when you go to view an apartment they will not take you to the back of the complex or anywhere near it because they do not want you to see the sewage complex or smell it. The sewage smell that comes from the treatment facility is primarily bad during the evenings and at night and is its worst when it is warm out. During the winter months the foul odor is not as noticeable because people aren't out as much and the cold weather must keep the overall smell down a bit. In the summer months its particularly strong and pungent and I would suggest staying as far away as possible. For the people in the front of the complex, they would have no idea what this is all about unless they walk back there as this reviewer has done, but please be aware that it is BAD!!!! I live right next to it and can see the place every day. Make sure you are placed in the correct unit too because I was told I would be in one unit, quite far away from the treatment facility, and then on the day of my move was told I was right next to the facility and wasn't in a 2nd story unit like I was supposed to be. Do not get suckered into believing you will not be by the treatment facility!
