As a college student, I was ready for some peace and quiet for my last year in school. That is not what I got. Moving in we were told their was a signing bonus of $600 that we never received. We were also told that the 3 bedroom apartment would be cheaper than a 2 bedroom which seemed like a dream come true. However, with all of their fees it became more expensive. Trying to make it through school, it was hard for me to pay especially being forced to pay something I didn't sign up for. A water pipe broke in January. They acted like it was partly my fault and did not accomadate my needs whatsoever. I was forced with wet carpet and they blocked my entrance to my fridge and didn't move it when I politely asked them to because I needed to get into my food. It remained like this for several days. Upon moving out, they called and told me I had a check for my deposit and needed my address. When I received the letter it was a bill for almost $2,000!! I did not cause any extreme damages being the only occupant most of the year. I even tried to come to an agreement with them and to see if they could knock off some to give me a break especially because I did not bend towel bars, ripped screens, etc. They would not agree and now I have an outstanding balance on my credit as I try to continue to pay for school. The management is not friendly whatsoever and are only trying to drain all the money they can out of their occupants. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

I cannot believe they have been able to get away with this ---- for so long. Go to IU free legal services, they can help. Can set you up with a court hearing, i got most of that -------- bill reduced. Its free and only takes a little of your time.
