First off, they got a new manager back when I was living there in 2006-2007, so any comments from people who lived there before that are irrelevant.

But for anything after that, I really don't understand why everyone seems to be B&%$%ing and groaning about the management here. I lived in these apartments when they were called Adam's Grove and they were really nice.

-We had new carpeting and everything was really clean. The layout was nice and unconventional (as in, not all squared off) so it had character and an open feeling.

-The little porch and the yard around it was nice and spacey so it didn't feel like we were crammed in there with all of the other apartments (as is lithe to happen in apartment settings).

-The walls were WHITE white and everything seemed open and bright with the good-sized windows.

As for the management, I felt they did a great job of maintaining the place. They had someone come in and spray once a month (or every-other month... I don't remember) for bugs, just a a preventative measure, so that was never an issue. Whenever we had something we needed maintenance for, the management sent a friendly lady over promptly and it got taken care of and it was actually fixed the first time.

And, as a bonus, they've got a little walking park now, are located kind of off-set from a lot of the hustle and bustle and away from campus so it was pretty quiet (and a beautiful sight with the moon rising up over the open field). And a 24-hr gym! WITH locker room and showers, and a pool...all of which the management also does a good job of maintaining.

So all of you whiners... you need to shut up. Because I think many of you are just quite unreasonable.

The only real complaints I would have are that the rent is kinda on the pricey side and that, as with most every management, a lot of fees are taken out from the security deposit. The one fee I have the biggest beef with is the automatic professional cleaning fee. On one hand, it makes sure the carpet is clean for the next resident... but on the other, if the carpet doesn't need it or you have our own steam-cleaner, you are still charged. And normal wear-and-tear costs are likely to come out of that too. But in the end, you will probably get about half of it back. More if you take care of the place and clean up when you leave. But do NOT expect it all back. (Though you will never get it all back from ANY management. It's unreasonable to expect to.)

I did have an issue once in which my friend's radio was stolen out of his car. But this was really surprising as I felt very safe in the neighborhood. Comfortable enough to go running or walking around within there in the dark... and I still would and sometimes do.
