I lived here a couple years ago when Vencel just took over. There are serious problems with the building, and it basically needs to be torn down. However, in Bloomington, people lease worse. The major tip I can give to you about Aspen Chalet is when you move out, take the cleaning list seriously. They expect you to clean the unit like a professional, and in my opinion, that is because they don't hire anyone to clean in between tenants. If you don't do every single thing on the list absolutely perfectly, then kiss your deposit goodbye. Also, the owner of the building is a serious jerk. It is obvious that he will only put in the minium and his "repairs" are way below building code. Good luck
