I thought they were decent; no major complaints

Some of my neighbors complain about Deer Park (the management company), as the other comments, but the specific complaints tended to be "our A/C doesn't work yet" (see below) and "our rent went up." As for me, this was the first company-run complex I've lived in besides college dorms, but I can easily imagine worse housing.
The free heating worked, the free A/C usually worked (when they turn the central stuff on in the spring often they'll have to go to individual apartments as well, but this was done within a few days of the main turn-on.) When I called about hallway lighting being out it got fixed quickly. When I asked for a sceen for my window I got it.
And best of all, when I asked for my lease to be extended a few days in August, so that I can move out without having my stuff in limbo between places, they said yes. Whether I'll get my security deposit back I don't know.
Noise: the walls are probably not very solid; I could sometimes hear bass music, or even people talking downstairs. I wasn't bothered that often, and I'm sensitive; this might be luck, or the people who choose to live here not being that loud, especially after midnight. It is advertised as a quiet place to live, or was when I moved in.
There *WAS* the Month of the Barking Dog, though I don't know what I'd do about that as a dog-friendly landlord. Dither and hope it calms down, perhaps, which it seemed to.
One thing is, they seem to have given up on managing the storage lockers in the basements. "What's free?" I asked. "We have no idea", they said.
So: stuff worked, friendly office staff, friendlier though poassibly overworked maintenance staff, I'm happy. I'm moving out due to a lack of a roommate, and also to live closer to downtown.
