I had inquired about the manor apartment my senior year along with three other roommates. We asked if we were to put down a partial deposit, would they hold it for a week's time. They rented the unit to another party. When I asked to have our $2000 dollars returned. Bess Courtney replied, "that's not how we operate". Theft, plain and simple. I came and paid her a visit. I politely asked her to be reasonable and do the right thing which would be to return the money since no agreement had been signed. She gave me the same answer. I smiled and told her that my attorney would be in touch by the following morning. Long story short, she returned it after threatening with legal action. Do not rent from this company for it is unethical!
