I would have recommended this, apartment 3 years ago

When we first moved into this apartment, we were so happy. We had many horrible experiences in Bloomington (known as a slum lord hot spot) and were excited about the property. At the time the staff was courteous and professional, there were many amenities (including free water, cable, 24-hour fitness area, etc.), and the price was a steal. Over time, the rates went up, all of the add-ons were taken away (now you even pay for trash pick-up!!! unreal...), the staffing changes led to extremely unprofessional staff members with no customer service skills, and a general decline in the type of resident. Now the apartment complex is over-run with unsupervised teenagers and many "suspect" individuals (no wonder the police is always there). Plus, too, there have been more major fires while we have been there than I can count on one hand (which is disconcerting if one has a young child or pets). It's really sad the decline this place has had. I would look elsewhere, sadly. Oh, and I just found out that they recently closed the fitness area due to vandalism.
