We just moved out and when we moved in 2.5 years ago it was pretty nice. Since then the management has declined, surrounding neighbors are very questionable. I would stake my life that one of our neighbors was dealing drugs and we actually know a member of the police dept that mentioned to us that there were over 20 apartments at Canterbury that were under surveillance for drugs. Upon our moving we also found areas behind furniture where mold has begun to grow out fromt he corners & baseboards. In each bedroom behind a toy box, bed, & night stand there was mold comming out of the walls and there were other areas that we then noticed that you could literally see the mold starting to come out of the top of the baseboards. All these area where exterior walls on a lower level apartment. Also we had to clear up matters with the bookkeeping they had on our account. They have made over 13 mistakes on our account in a 11 month period. They will supply, in writing a notice of balance remaining on your account then when you to the final paperwork the balance has increased eventhough there are no additional charges because they are unable to keep accurate accounts. If you presently reside at Canterbury, I recommend having a account balance inquiry done with a print out of the past 12 months. They do not enforce any rules or regulations in the complex! Just say NO.
