So much better than where I live now!

I desperately wish that I could be living in a Regency Apartments managed property right now. I am currently living in an AIMCO property in New Jersey, and the management situation stinks. I look back on the time that I spent at Meadow Park and consider it the standard of a good place to live by which all current and future apartment homes will be measured.
I lived here from August 2000 to August 2002. It is an ideal place for a graduate student; it offers a discount for grad students, and it provides a nice, scenic, quiet environment for them to study. The pool is small and a bit cool because of a large shade tree nearby but is still nice. The laundry room is ample in size, although one does need to learn that a couple of the dryers don't work as well as the others.
I lived right against the railroad in my first year, and I acquainted myself to its noise within two days. I moved away from it to a unit closer to Smith Rd. because I would occasionally have out of town guests who would naturally be awakened once or twice at night due to a train. Noise was otherwise no problem whatsoever.
Maintenance was a dream; it was what made this complex really stand out. I live in a complex that is of a similar age, and, occasionally, things break. Meadow Park maintenance, however, was always prompt to arrive on the first request. The few problems that I did have were always satisfactorily and courteously fixed. Contrast that to having to submit three requests to have a water leak fixed even though the area is in a drought; that is where I am living now.
The office staff was always reliable, courteous, and friendly. I always felt comfortable in the office, and they offered amenities like a few copies and faxes within the USA for free that helped me greatly.
Parking was plentiful. The walkways and roads were well lit. Snow removal was prompt and excellent, an item of great importance since the entrances are hilly. The location on the 6, 3, and 8 bus lines was ideal for going to campus or to the mall, and the proximity to 10th and 3rd Streets made it easy to get anywhere in town quickly. The price was right; I have pleasant dreams about being able to get two bedrooms for well under $1000 ($508!) again.
If you are at IU to study, you cannot go wrong with Meadow Park. It has to be one of the better kept secrets in Bloomington.
