I lived here from August '99 to August '01 in one of the patio/garden apartments. Having moved to a new place this past year, I look back and appreciate Meadow Park even more! The location is quiet (except for the occasional weedwhacking) and parking is convenient. One of the best things was the sturdiness of the buildings...they were built in the 70's but are very solid brick....a safe place to be in a tornado! Also, I almost never heard noise from neighboring apartments, which I cannot say for the place I live in currently. Dumpsters are conveniently located for trash removal, and the pool is nice. I had only a few complaints: my apartment was very dark because it was mostly underground and the carpet was a heinous brown swirl; the ceiling in the bedroom leaked twice while I lived there, but management was always extremely courteous and maintenance usually prompt. Some maintenance work needed to be done overall, including updating kitchen appliances and floor tiles, door and window screens, etc.; the laundry facilities leave something to be desired (dryers don't always dry) Regardless of these problems, there are many positives. Bus service comes right by the complex entrance and there is a convenience store across the street. MP is about a 3 minute drive to the mall, Marsh, Staples, etc. A good value for IU grad students as you get a discount, although there is no T1 line. Oh yeah, and the shower water pressure was fab! Overall, I really liked living here; I moved because I just needed a change of scenery.
