...you have pets and don't mind being a long ways from campus. There is a city bus stop right at the apartments that also goes to campus, so it is pretty easy to get where you need to go during the day if you don't have a car. Nice residential feel overall, but sometimes the barking dogs can be a nuisance.

A few things went wrong maintenance-wise in our apartment, but the maintenance guys were usually pretty quick to fix things. Even when our fix required parts to be shipped, we never had to wait more than a couple of days, and they worked until the job was finished.

That being said, we were told we would be getting new carpet and possibly new cabinets, which never happened. No bugs or rodents to speak of.

I have lived at Sassafras for a long time. It is still ok but it was much better about 3,4 and 5 yrs ago when that manager was here. I forget her name but she was the best.
