Good place to live, but you have to drive everywhere

I liked Steeplechase - the insides of the apartments are decorated very nicely, the maintenance people were responsive, the office staff was very helpful. Nice pool, pretty grounds, and it backs up to a nice residential neighborhood if you like to take walks or jog. Noise was somewhat of a problem - constantly heard the people downstairs having "fun" in their bedroom. Having said that, it is very family-friendly - a lot of families live there, pool is family-oriented, safe grounds. The only problem is that it is not on the bus line and you have to drive anywhere you go, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to drive to IU. Overall, though, definitely worth checking out if you are moving to Bloomington.
