Great place for young families, professionals, and students not interested in the party scene

I returned to Bloomington in the summer of '06 after being away for many years - I originally lived here for 7 years while a student at IU, and lived in my fair share of "student housing" rentals as a student, where unresponsive management/landlords and staff - some of which bordered on criminal in their rental policies - were the norm. Steeplechase is a gem of a community in this town, where decent rental properties with good management can be difficult to find. The office staff have always been friendly, responsive, and accomodating to special requests. The grounds are well-kept, and the apartments themselves, with an open-floorplan layout, two bathrooms even in a basic two-bedroom unit, large walk-in closets, an ample balcony deck with storage closet, and a separate laundry room that is much larger than the basic closet provided at most other rental properties, justify the higher rent than you would pay at other apartment complexes in the area. The neighborhood is quiet and kid/family-friendly, and the maintenence crew is professional, friendly, and quick to address problems that arise (of which we have had few, as the apartments are well-maintained). It's a great place to live, and I highly recommend it!

Sorry, but two bedroom apartments DO have two bathrooms. I'm the person who wrote this review, and I've lived in both a regular 2 bedroom and a 2 bedroom plus study (which is big enough to be used as another bedroom - I used it as a guest room), and this was the case with both. And there is a separate laundry room right off the kitchen in the two bedroom apartments - it's not spacious, but it's definitely bigger than a closet.
