Well, the only advantages of living in Sterling ist that there are washer/dryer units in the apartment, high-speed internet (when it works properly), and individual bedrooms are locked.
But everything else is just horrible. When we moved in the place wasn't cleaned up after the tenant who lived before us so I spent the day moving in cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. Also there are bugs everywhere at certain times of the year, poor insulation, thin walls (you can hear everything and at times you can have restless nights), small rooms, rent is steep, some other tenants are rude and loud, internet has been down a multiple of times for lengthy times, vandalism and trash in the hallways once you enter a building and everything seems to break down in the apartment.
When we call maintenance, it can take awhile for a response. For example, earlier in the year we had a small mouse running around and we called the office earlier in the morning one day and actually talked to the manager. The maintenance came the a day or two later, very late in the evening. So, you have two girls that are putting paper and other materials under their doors so we don't have mice entering our rooms. It's was crazy. I totally recommend everyone to look at other places because the money you pay here is a joke.

I personaly know this girl, and what she is not telling you is that they told everyone her apartment was not clean when they moved in and had bugs. Just so they could get money out of sterling. And the mouse would not have gotten in if they did not have all those loud ass rude parties with her front door open all night. Maybe that's why we would not have been rude to her if she did not have so many parties and left her trash in the hallway! This girl is crazy and I for one and glad she is gone! Sterling is the best place I have found to live at since I came to IU.

Actually, I still live here and I'm planning on moving out at the end of this month to another apartment community that I already have the key to. I've called and talked to the leasing agents multiple times and wrote about all the mishaps in the move-in packet before I even moved in. Also, I'm not a partier nor drinker or smoker and I'm a computer science major so I'm usually in the apartment or library studying on the computers. Therefore, you shouldn't be so quick to respond to a message if you don't know anything about a person. I'm even wondering did you make up this response from the top of the head just to boost Sterling's ratings. Anyways, I don't care, I'm done with the place in a couple of weeks.
