My wife and I moved into Wapahani Hills in September 06. We first started getting irritated with the place when a heavy snow fell and no sidewalks or roads were cleared which made leaving our home difficult as we lived on a incline. I even witnessed the maintenance man getting stuck 3 DAYS after the last snow had fallen due to the complete lack of snow removal (even though Bloomington ordinance requires it). Also, a week before Thanksgiving while my wife was making a large dinner the pipe under the kitchen sink began to leak very badly, I called the office and was told the maintenance man didn't work on weekends but I could call the owner and get him to authorize someone to come fix the sink. I called the owner twice and never got a response, we went 2 days without a kitchen sink until my wife called Monday morning to the office and demanded someone come fix the sink.
Well, about 5 months into our lease the owners son and his girlfriend moved in next door. They were the loudest people I have ever had the unfortunate luck to live next to. They also would let their dog out on the backporch to use the bathroom since they didn't want to take it for a walk in the yard. This pet waste was never cleaned and began to stink terribly as the weather turned warmer. He also would flip cigarette butts in the backyard as well as pop bottle lids, both against the lease agreement that we would be fined for doing. My wife wrote a letter to the owner since she was never allowed to speak to her directly when we called the office even though we knew she was there since her mammoth Escalade was sitting out front. This letter informed the owner of our unhappiness with a host of problems listed above and also our intent to leave but were worried no one would want to sublease since the back porch wreaked of dog waste among other things. The owner took this as we were not going to pay for the remainder of our lease and called my wife and litterally began screaming (I could hear her yelling) at my wife threatening to take us to small claims for the lease since she believed we were going to just stop paying. She claimed this was the best place to live in Bloomington with a long list of people waiting to move in, which must be why 2-3 townhomes in my area sat empty for 4-5 months.
Save yourself some headache, look around alot more and find something better. If you can't, sign the shortest lease possible. You'll regret staying here for longer than you have to.

Sounds so familiar, we lived at the townhouses they own on Lorelei Way and they were a nightmare. We were told it was a nice quiet neighborhood, I got to know the police dispatcher personally from calling to have them shutdown huge noisy parties. They didn't plow after snows for a couple of days and our neighbors had big dogs that pooped everywhere, couldn't even walk outside without getting poop on your shoes. The owners are very rude and crooked, I agree don't move in any place these people own.
