I moved to aberdeen in Nov of '06. Since then, I've had no major positive or negative experiences. It's a much better area than I was in prior, so for that I am appreciative. The apartment is pretty decently sized, but it is built by the lowest bidder. Thus, you get a lot of noise. I am on the second floor, and I can hear the neighbor underneath me with little effort as their dog yaps at all hours of the day. That said, I can't imagine what it would be like living in a 1st floor apartment there.
I've seen reviews of vandalism, I've not seen any of that myself but I can't debate that it happens - seeing the type of people they have been letting in. Strange that this would be happening with no less than 3 police officers living there within eyesight. Apparently a few months ago, another mortgage company bought the complex, this could be reason for some of the downfall of the complex.
I will say that I love my garage. It's huge, and I am able to park my car, my tools, my motorcycle, and a variety of other items in there with plenty of space to spare.
Overall it's not worth the money you pay. For the 800 dollars I spend per month, I can get a pretty decent mortgage - which I intend to do at the end of this years' lease.
