I'm not sure about this complex looking like a trailer park ... The apartments are built in phases, 1, 2, 3. I live in a phase 1 apartment and I'm very pleased. I have been told that the phase 3 apartments are very nice on the inside. I take great offense to being told that the front of heartland is full of rif-raff. This community is great, but the usual's that come with low income housing are expected.(ie. young parents lots of kids etc.) In general you shouldn't have a problem with anyone around here. I feel safe living here, all the stair ways and halls are well lit. There is a brand new WalMart less then 2 miles away as well as a Meijer across the street, and several brand new restaurants down the road. (Also less then 2mins away). I was very pleased with the maintenance staff, they get what you need done ASAP. I'm very happy that they do the inspections each month, because that helps keep the over all appearance of the complex nice. During the summer they keep the grass mowed and all of the land scape done very nice. The club house is nice, with a 24hr fitness center, pool, and banquet room. Do yourself a favor and look into these apartments personally before you listen to any other reviews.
