My husband and I have lived here for a little over a year and it is the worst place we have ever lived. Our air conditioner is presently not working for the 6th time. Management does nothing to take care of this problem. When we call to ask to speak with a manager, they always have excuses as to why the manager is not available. The office staff does not know the first thing about customer service. Our rent is outrageously high. And the apartment is terrible. We should have known from the first day we moved in that this was a mistake. We moved from a different state to Indiana, so our time to find a place to live was very limited. On our way here, the manager calls to tell us that the original apartment that we were supposed to move into was not ready and we would have to move into another one. The first day we started to move our things in, we found out that the air conditioner was not working (little did we know that this would be a constant problem), and the carpet was terribly stained and filthy. Later on, we had to have the refrigerator worked on, and there was a leak in the master bath that was causing the ceiling to buckle and drip in the living room, we have had to have our heat worked on and our locks on the front door fixed (instead of putting new locks on the door, they put old locks on from another apartment, of course), and the list goes on. If you need somewhere to live, anywhere is better than Tree Top of Carmel. The only thing that we are happy with is the location.
