I am an out-of-state student who was so excited about moving into Lakes of Carmel in the fall for my Student Teaching. However, about 2 weeks ago, I received a call from the office stating that my leasing timeline needed to be lengthened by more than 2 months and for a college student paying her own rent who is not even sure if she'll still be in Indiana after Student Teaching, that's a lot of money! After asking why, they stated that while switching over management, my paperwork was lost and they had absolutely no information on me after I had visited the complex twice. This was after I had called them mid-July to ask why I had never been contacted about which apartment I would be moving into in the fall. Management needs to get their act together and not try to get more money out of their possible leasers.
