What can I say'

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
I've lived in carmel most of my 39 years and had high school friends who lived there in the late 70s.
Things haven't changed there much and I now am a new resident. Wow! I moved in on the day of the changeover of management. Yes the old staff was so snotty and rude. I think there mostly gone now so that makes me feel better. Maintenence fixed a fan in the bathroom and left a light dusty mess. But it WAS fixed promptly.
The place was pretty clean on move in (really nice patterns from a clean carpet crew prompted my movers to remark about it) but one closet smells of human sweat and grime. There is a quarter inch crack around the front door frame which makes me shiver to think about upcomming winter drafts. Bedroom stays cooler than the rest. Front hallways are disgusting still with cobwebs and grass clippings and leaves. Front bushes are overgrown with ivy and the balcony feels unstable with tons of debris from nearby trees.
My biggest problem that is out of everybodys hands is traffic noise! I am right on keystone ave with not a shred of sound insulating. The constant roar of the highway is hideous and I have to leave often to sleep at my lakehousein southern indiana just to get a good nights sleep. It sounds weird but I think those units should only rent for 100$ because of the atrocity that keystone has become. I just feel like I'm paying way too much.
My girlfriends car was found on blocks and its wheels completly gone. Stolen in the night. This is so gettho and scares me that this is actually Carmel.
This place is insane and I think that even if the new management is super human there is only so much they can do with this place. Can't wait to move already.
