Never Again!

At a first glance, it looks really nice. But then again, the thugs aren?t hanging around on every corner during the day! I?m on the first floor and it is VERY noisy! Seems like the only thing separating me and the guy above me is a layer of thin chipboard. We can hear every foot step he makes, most of the time it sounds like someone is coming through our ceiling! Complaints to the office are worthless, ineffective. Over three months ago my porcelin soap dish and 8 of the tiles surrounding it fell out of the bathtub wall while i was taking a shower, now there is a hole there that goes all the way to the cinder blocks. The heavy soap dish had caulking all over the back of it like it happened before and the maintenance staff just tried to glue it back in. The rest of the tiles move around when you push on them. I?d imagine the whole wall will be falling in within the next year or so. Maintenance staff did nothing about it, So I had to tape a plastic bag over the hole. There are alot of bugs, the spiders are HUGE, and the ants are relentless. The electrical outlets are old and worn out. We have to bend the prongs outward for our appliances just so they will stay plugged in. Someone attempted to break into my car, bent the window trim up pretty bad, if it wasnt for the alarm who knows what would have happened. So if you have a nice vehicle definately consider someplace else! The office did nothing about it. On any given day you can drive through the complex and see at least one car with a broken out window. One of the neighbors kept peeking into my windows, he eventually got evicted but it took months and months. Complaints to the office staff are completely useless, I called a few times to make noise complaints and was told "thats all part of apartment living!" What kind of an answer is that' They keep the manager secluded in a back office, i've never seen her, much less been able to talk to her. Probably for her safety. The parking lot is in dire need of resurfacing. The drains are sunken in at least a foot, one of my friends blew out a tire and cracked a rim cause he forgot to dodge the drain, not that they do any good, when it rains this place totally floods. The speed limit in the parking lot is 15mph, but there are so many young people here they treat it like a race track. I've seen people going through here doing at least 50, squealing around the corner I live on. Supposedly there is a courtesy officer' I've seen the car parked out front but have never seen it move, I think they bought it and parked it there. There is 2 hottubs in the office area, but they are very nasty, never clean, cest pools! The outdoor pool is kept up nicely but there are so many kids in there it's impossible to relax. There is outstanding hot water and water pressure, but anytime someone in the building takes a shower the pipes in the walls bang around like crazy, i've never heard anything like it. Better make it quick too, there's one hot water heater for the whole building, 8 apartments. Well, even though I feel like i've just scratched the surface, i've hit the important issues, I could definately go on. Luckily our lease is almost up. When I moved in I figured it would be very nice, being in Carmel and all. But it seems even Carmel has its ghettos. I'd compare it to the east or south side (no offense). The clubhouse looks cool, that's the first thing they showed me, now I know why! Please, don't be fooled! Bottom line is, when you see this place, KEEP DRIVING!!
