I was very surprised to see the negative comments for POM on this site. These comments were so far from my experience that I wondered if they were talking about the same apartment complex!

My experience here has been the best apartment living situation I've had in 14 years of living in apartments. (I'm a physician and have moved many times for various steps in my training.)

I found the following:
1. The grounds are very nice and well-kept.
2. The maintenance staff is ultra-responsive (I've never waited more than 24 hours for something to be fixed.)
3. My apartment was nice and the rent was reasonable, especially given all of the amenities and the conveniences of living here.
4. Parking adequate, but not ample. I never had problem finding a spot.
5. Very quiet. I read and studied a lot at home and never heard my neighbors.
6. The office staff was always extremely friendly and professional.
7. The concierge staff, especially John, was always friendly and helpful. The only exception was an older grey-haired woman (whose name I don't remember as I subsequently avoided all interactions with her as much as possible), who was rude and apathetic and extremly mismatched for service-oriented position such as a concierge desk. Her presence was the only blight on an otherwise wonderful stay at the POM apartments.
8. The negative comments I've read on this site regarding POM, leave me utterly confused as they do not reflect my experience living there. I lived in the "new" part of the complex. My rent reflected a continued lease from a friend who previously inhabited the apt, and I had a washer/dryer in the apt. I moved out of state for work reasons.
