Never lived here but...

I had intended on living in this apartment community and had even given my deposit for the apartment. After doing so, I spoke with a neighbor friend of mine who had also inquired about living here. He said that the rent was to high for him and thanks anyway. As he was leaving the office the girl he was working with offered to take $100 off of his rent every month. He was only signing a 6 month lease. Still, he said no and left. I decided to ask for the same deal and they acted like I was from outer space! Needless to say, I believe there are some wrongful business dealings going on at this place. Obviously the management is very lax. The girl I dealt with was a snotty little $8 an hour worker anyway.
By the way, I decided not to live in this over priced community and they wouldn't return any of the deposit money... probably having a party with it right now. Oh well.
Just beware, they will try to tell you that you must rent "right now or the apartment might not be available when you need it". Humm, wonder why they offer some people a discount then. I mean, it's not like it's in a great location... it's almost the middle of the sticks!
Also, the apartment I was shown didn't seem to be very clean and it was ready to be moved in too. There were a couple visible stains on the carpeting and it was just a very dark apartment. For a newer community I would think it would be kept up better.
