Good for the most part

I only have four months of experience to draw upon Feb-May), but overall have been a satisfied resident.
The rent was not "cheap", but as someone who lived at Amli SpringMill as an alternative to a hotel stay (in town for work), I was very satisfied with what I received for my money.
My apartment was in good condition. I had an attached garage (which is a nice feature when you are a female living alone), and had "like new", very clean appliances. Also included was a washer and dryer. Everything worked properly when I moved in. I had one or two maintenance requests and they were taken care of right away.
I thought the grounds upkeep (including prompt salting during snow/ice periods) was very good, and the grounds/landscaping appearance overall was excellent. While I was missing my home and my yard, I was impressed with and appreciated the pretty trees & flowers and well kept lawn. The walking trail is a nice feature also.
Noise wasn't too bad--I'd hear the big dog upstairs barking or running sometimes (we were on the first floor), but I guess I don't expect complete silence--especially after being in a hotel for a month!
Yes, it's probably a little more expensive than others, but I thought the value was good--I felt safe, liked the environment, and had a nice mix of neighbors.
In regards to the comments posted about the office staff, I think many of them are fair. Luckily I didn't have to deal with them a whole lot. The signup was quick of course, and my security deposit(all of it) refund appears to be coming back in a timely manner. Sometimes I would deal with a representative that was extremely helpful (I remember a Stephanie), and other times--you did feel like you were interrupting their day. I added my small dog on to the lease (additional charge & deposit) and there was some eye rolling and sighing as the person helping me tried to figure out how to put that into the computer. It seems like sometimes they don't know what to do and take it out on their customers--they are dressed up nice and look professional, but can act very immature. I've seen teenagers working at McDonald's be more congenial!
For me, that was the only downside, and I only had to deal with it a few times. It's a shame, because other things are very good, and there are a few people bringing things down.
